** update to this post - this issue of the feeds returning is not down to Feedly but Google Reader - see comment #6 **
For the past couple of weeks I've been using Feedly as my homepage. Feedly organizes your favorite sites into a fun, magazine-like start page and it's based on content from Google Reader and Twitter.
To be honest I have really enjoyed using Feedly as it truly has made my homepage a place that I actually do find loads of good reading gathered from all the sites and people I find interesting.
But, and it's a very big but, Feedly has pointblank refused to delete feeds that I've asked to be deleted. Doesn't matter if I delete from Feedly or Google Reader or both, next time I visit the page the offending feeds are again being served up.
Looking through the getsatisfaction boards for Feedly I see a number of posts with this issue but the response always seemd to be that It's been sorted in the latest release. But for me the issue always remains.
So I've reverted back to iGoogle.

Hi. I am one of the co-founders of feedly. Sorry to hear about the delete problem. If you can create a bug in getsatisfaction/feedly, we will track it down and try to determine why the subscriptions you are deleting do not get deleted. One tip: when you delete or add something from/to Google Reader, you need to restart the browser for feedly to sync back its in memory cache with Google Reader. Best wishes for 2010
Edwin, thanks for letting me know about the browser restart, I'll give it a go.
Still no joy, the offending feeds reappeared quite quickly. Maybe something to do with Feedly's cache? Or my running linux?
I'll look back at Feedly when a few more updates have been incorporated.
Hmmm Sorry about that. This is bizarre because feedly only includes an in-memory cache so in theory, there is no way for the list of feeds in feedly to be different from the list of feeds in Google Reader after the browser is restarted. Are you following people in Google Reader?
Hi Edwin, no I'm not following anybody in Google Reader.
Chris
Edwin, I've removed the feedly addon from all my browsers and have been using Google Reader on it's own and the feeds have returned yet again!
So it would seem that the issue is not with Feedly!
I'll comment on the original post to update.
Chris
Thanks for the update. It might be worth posting something in the Google Reader forum (they are usually responsive).
